Exploring the Coasts of Madagascar : Discovering the Port Cities and Their Rich Culture History

Along the coasts of Madagascar, many port cities have developed. These port cities are very important to the country, as they are the main means of transportation and commerce, they are the connection between not only the cities within the country, but also the inside of the country and the rest of the world. The port cities of Madagascar are very diverse and offer many activities. Many of these cities are also known for their history and culture. They offer a variety of restaurants, shops, and other tourist attractions. Despite the benefits of these cities, they are also however faced with many challenges. Infrastructure is often lacking and these cities are prone to flooding and cyclones. To face this, the state as a whole, the Ministry of Transportation, the APMF agency, local authorities and NGOs are working hard to face the new challenges of these cities. Le long des cĂŽtes de Madagascar, de nombreuses villes portuaires se sont dĂ©veloppĂ©es. Ces villes portuaires sont trĂšs importantes pour le pays, car elles sont le principal moyen de transport et de commerce, elles sont le lien entre non seulement les villes Ă  l’intĂ©rieur du pays, mais aussi l’intĂ©rieur du pays et le reste du monde. Les villes portuaires de Madagascar sont trĂšs diversifiĂ©es et offrent de nombreuses activitĂ©s. Beaucoup de ces villes sont Ă©galement connues pour leur histoire et leur culture. Elles offrent une variĂ©tĂ© de restaurants, de magasins et d’autres attractions touristiques. MalgrĂ© les avantages de ces villes, elles sont Ă©galement cependant confrontĂ©es Ă  de nombreux dĂ©fis. Les infrastructures manquent souvent et ces villes sont sujettes aux inondations et aux cyclones. Pour y faire face, l’Etat dans son ensemble, le MinistĂšre des Transports, l’agence APMF, les autoritĂ©s locales et les organisations non gouvernementales travaillent dur pour faire face aux nouveaux dĂ©fis de ces villes.

🔰 Second Edition of the Regional Business Forum 🔰

The second edition of the Regional Business Forum (BFR) was held on April 6 and 7, 2023 at Port Academy Center Toamasina (PACT). This B2B and institutional event was organized in collaboration with the Regions Alaotra Mangoro, Atsinanana and Analanjirofo and was marked by regional and inter-regional economic development. Its main theme was “Regional Emergence: Facilitating Investments in the Face of Madagascar’s Industrialization Challenges”. This major meeting of dynamic actors from the Eastern Province aimed to encourage growth and economic development in the region. Public and private sector professionals gathered and shared their perspectives and ideas on the industrial transformation of Madagascar, they were also invited to take part in this session and actively participate in the discussion and debates. 📍 On Friday, April 07, Mr. Niriko TSIRENGE, Director General of SMMC was present as a panelist to discuss the theme “Fluidification of the Port Passage: Challenges, Stakes and Perspectives, Best International Practices”. For SMMC, the presentation was on “The modernization plan and recent improvements within SMMC.” Have a great week everyone ! Des professionnels des secteurs public et privĂ© se sont rĂ©unis et ont partagĂ© leurs perspectives et idĂ©es sur la transformation industrielle de Madagascar, ils ont aussi Ă©tĂ© invitĂ©s Ă  prendre part Ă  cette session et Ă  participer activement Ă  la discussion et aux dĂ©bats. 📍 Le vendredi 07 avril, Monsieur Niriko TSIRENGE, Directeur GĂ©nĂ©ral de la SMMC Ă©tait prĂ©sent en tant que paneliste pour discuter du thĂšme « Fluidification du passage portuaire : dĂ©fis, enjeux et perspectives, meilleures pratiques internationales ». International Zero Waste Day is being celebrated for the first time today, on March 30th 2023, to promote the benefits of a more sustainable life. This day aims to encourage people to reduce their environmental impact by reducing their waste and it is an opportunity to raise awareness about the benefits of living a more eco-friendly and sustainable lifestyle. The goal of International Zero Waste Day is to promote healthier and more responsible consumption and waste management practices. People are encouraged to reduce consumption, reuse items, and recycle waste. ♻ The SMMC raises awareness about the importance of producing environment-friendly waste and disposing of it properly. Zero waste initiatives can help to reduce costs and protect the environment. La JournĂ©e internationale du zĂ©ro dĂ©chet est cĂ©lĂ©brĂ©e pour la premiĂšre fois aujourd’hui, le 30 mars 2023 pour promouvoir les avantages d’une vie plus durable. Cette journĂ©e vise Ă  encourager les gens Ă  rĂ©duire leur impact environnemental en rĂ©duisant leurs dĂ©chets et c’est l’occasion de sensibiliser les gens aux avantages de mener une vie plus Ă©cologique et durable. L’objectif de la JournĂ©e internationale du zĂ©ro dĂ©chet est de promouvoir des pratiques plus saines et plus responsables en matiĂšre de consommation et de management des dĂ©chets.
